Cookie policy

Last updated: 10/10/2026

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. This policy explains the cookies UK Rest uses on uk-rest.com and its restaurant sub-domains, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

Your choices

When you first visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, a notice asks whether you accept our cookies. “Accept” and “Reject” are equally available. Until you select “Accept”, the Google tag on our pages runs in a restricted mode: it sets no analytics or advertising cookies and does not identify you. Visitors from other countries see a short notice about our use of cookies. Your choice applies to the main site and to every restaurant page on its sub-domain. You can change your mind at any time:

Restaurant pages include an embedded Google Map that loads with the page. Google may set the cookies listed below when the map is displayed. You can block these in your browser settings; the restaurant's address is always shown in plain text as well.

Google Consent Mode

We use Google Consent Mode v2. For visitors in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland, all Google storage types for advertising and analytics start as “denied”. Without your consent the Google tag sets no cookies and sends only limited, cookieless signals (such as that a page was viewed), which Google uses in aggregate without identifying you. Your choices are passed to Google so that it respects them.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies means we cannot remember your choices, and the banner will appear again.
